The Rappahannock Food Pantry is an integral part of our community and meets the vital needs of its residents in need. Sadly, 10 percent of all county residents and 16 percent of our children are in poverty, the highest rate in the Northern Piedmont. Last year 253 families, totaling 734 individuals, relied on the Food Pantry for their basic sustenance. Over 130 of our county's children are relying on the Pantry's Backpack Program for healthy meals on weekends.
Through the generosity of county citizens who donate their time, food and dollars, the Pantry is able to provide our low-income families and individuals with food and other vital services.
Please consider donating today in support of those in need in our county.
